I'm hoping someone here can give me some solid advice before I end up with a massive repair bill. My Durango R/T has developed that infamous HEMI tick over the past few weeks and it's getting worse, especially on cold starts, and I'm pretty sure it's related to the MDS lifters that I've read so much about . I know these 5.7s are notorious for lifter failure if they're not maintained with the right oil, and I'm kicking myself because I took it to a general garage last time and I'm not even sure they used the correct FCA-approved synthetic oil .
