So I've got a bit of a situation with my Ford Fusion that's been nagging at me for the past couple of weeks. Every time I brake, especially at low speeds, there's this high-pitched squealing noise coming from what sounds like the front wheels, and it's getting progressively louder and more embarrassing, especially in parking lots where everyone can hear it. I know brake pads have wear indicators that squeal when they're getting low, so I'm hoping that's all it is, but I'm also a bit concerned because I've noticed the brake pedal feels slightly spongier than it used to, and there's a bit more travel before it really bites.
